Now last weekend was much different!

So I got an e-mail from a client that I do side-work for last Tuesday - I do document formatting for him maybe once or twice a year. This one is mondo huge, monstrosity many many documents some of them are 70+ page documents that have been cobbled together from many different sources. So last weekend, I did not step foot out of the house - not once. Just sat in front of this computer and got a bunch done. I have been spinning and knitting - no pictures to show sadly, I just didn't want anyone to think that I'd fallen off the face of the planet.

I'm almost done with this project - whew! It needs to be printed up Thursday, so it looks like we're on schedule.

I'm sending all the files to myself right now, and am going home. Still need to figure out about dinner.

I really really hate to post without pictures, but I just can't do it this time - next time, I promise.

Oh, and my silk shawl still hasn't been blocked - but I have started a lovely little cardigan for myself, and am spinning on both wheels and my Emily spindle.

I also slipped and ordered a bunch of fiber - I mean, what the heck am I going to do with a pound and a half of camel down? I also got 8oz of yak - and a pound of silk. Everything was really reasonably priced - and I haven't spun yak yet - the silk is because I always need silk. The camel down? Well, I'm a little worried that I won't have enough to finish off the sweater that I'm working on.... Not a pound and a half worth short by any means - what was I thinking??? Oh yeah, side gigs mean that I have a little bit of extra money, so I might as well spend it! DOH!

Have fun out there!

Nice to hear from you again! So you are working you butt off so you can get more fiber! That's the right spirit! ;o)

I do the same thing then wonder why I never have any extra money left over at the end of the month..... ;)

Ah well.... As my husband is fond of telling me -- 'you can't take it with you so you might as well spend it.'

Ooohhh! That sounds like a nice fibery present for yourself for working so hard!

Hope you get all the stuff done soon so you can spin it!

Oooh, I want some silk. Still... yak? I'm sure it's lovely, but it sounds... yak-y. ;)

Ooo, please let me know how you like that camel. I just got some this weekend and I've never used it before, so would be interested in any comments on it. It may take a back seat to the Musk Ox that I bought, though. Fiber. Not an entire ox. Yikes! ;-)
